stay squeaky clean for as long as i can

funny thing, gta always made me wanna go nuts and see how long i could hold a high wanted level, but rdr always had me wanting to behave. genuinely curious which way 6 is gonna pull me.

im heading straight to the beach in a fast car and mowing down as many pedestrians as i can before the cops drop me. florida man starts as he means to go on

drive across the whole map on day one

not gonna lie i think you do the game dirty by racing across the entire map straight away. you end up tripping over a load of intro type stranger missions way before the story means you to, and it wrecks the pacing. let it come to you.

let it come to you

which is exactly why part of me wants them to wall off chunks of the map early like the old games used to. probably an unpopular take and maybe a terrible idea, but that gated feeling was special.

im boring and i hate spoilers so ill just follow the story and let the map unlock itself as i go. once thats done ill properly dig into side quests and collectibles and actually explore every corner.

same as i did in 5 after the prologue, find a plane (or a seaplane since we might start in the keys) and just fly the whole map to get the lay of the land, then go looking for whatever the space center equivalent turns out to be.

drag the protagonists through a little training montage and max whatever skills i can, then explore as far out as the game lets me without tripping any story altering stuff.

im weird, first thing im doing is hunting down the cop cars to test drive every one of them lol

im just gonna explore man. driving all over the keys including those huge bridges, seeing what i can actually do, how the npcs react, what minigames are lying around, all of it.

if the game lets me im making a break for Port Gellhorn right at the very start

record your first few hours if you can. i always do it, did it for rdr2. did it for 5 too but i lost the file not long after, which still stings to this day.

get to a beach, whack the volume right up, and possibly cry, again entirely depends whether the neighbours are in. after that go hunt for an in universe volvo thats not one of the two we already know about.

same thing i do every gta, grind a grand or two doing taxi work. its the calm before the storm, one last honest paycheck before the character answers the call of a life of crime.

track down a chopper style bike, tune into the reggae station and just ride around while it plays. thats the entire plan, nothing more.

getting myself an old muscle car and cruising, probably ends up being Jasons pickup if theres nothing cooler parked nearby.
